Desktop Apps

FutPrint runs in your browser at futprint.truedata.in, and as a desktop app for macOS and Windows. The desktop apps are the same terminal: every module, setting and indicator described in this guide works the same way in both.

What is the same

• Your account and plan. Sign in with the same FutPrint account. Data timing, exchange coverage and tools follow your plan, including the Free plan.
• Your workspaces. Workspaces saved to your account appear in the desktop app as soon as you sign in, and changes you save there appear in the browser too. See The Terminal & Workspaces.
• Market data. Prices, open interest, scanners and analytics stream from TrueData's servers in both, so neither is ahead of the other.

What the desktop app adds

• Its own window. FutPrint gets a Dock or taskbar icon, appears in the app switcher and works with full screen, Split View, Spaces and Snap layouts.
• No browser in the way. There are no tabs, address bar or extensions, and browser shortcuts no longer compete with the terminal's own.
• Sign-in kept by the system. Your session is stored in the macOS Keychain or Windows Credential Manager. See Signing In.
• One window at a time. Opening FutPrint again brings the running window forward instead of starting a second copy.
• A light footprint. The app uses the web engine built into your operating system (WebKit on macOS, Microsoft Edge WebView2 on Windows) rather than shipping a browser of its own.

What stays in the browser

The desktop app opens straight to sign-in and your workspace. The website, pricing pages and this documentation are not part of the app; open them in your browser.
