Installing on macOS
FutPrint for Mac is a single universal app: the same download runs natively on Macs with Apple silicon (M1 and later) and on Intel Macs. Installation takes about two minutes.
Before you start
- A Mac with Apple silicon or an Intel processor, running a supported, up-to-date version of macOS. FutPrint uses the system WebKit engine, so macOS updates keep it current.
- An internet connection for sign-in and live market data.
- A FutPrint account on any plan. You can create one from the app.
Install
- 1Download the disk image
Open the FutPrint for Mac page and click Download for Mac. Your browser saves a
.dmgfile, usually to the Downloads folder. - 2Open the disk image
Double-click the downloaded file. A window opens showing the FutPrint icon and a shortcut to your Applications folder.
- 3Drag FutPrint to Applications
Drag the FutPrint icon onto the Applications folder. When the copy finishes, the app is installed.
- 4Eject the disk image
In Finder's sidebar, click the eject button next to FutPrint, or drag the disk image to the Bin. You can then delete the
.dmgfile from Downloads. - 5Open FutPrint
Launch FutPrint from Launchpad, from Spotlight (⌘ Space, then type FutPrint) or from the Applications folder.
The first launch
Depending on the release, macOS may say it cannot verify FutPrint the first time you open it. This is a one-time check.
- 1Dismiss the message
Click Done (or OK) on the dialog. Do not move the app to the Bin.
- 2Open Privacy & Security
Open System Settings, choose Privacy & Security in the sidebar and scroll down to the Security section.
- 3Allow FutPrint
Next to the message about FutPrint, click Open Anyway, then confirm with your Mac password or Touch ID. FutPrint opens, and macOS remembers the choice.
If macOS reports that FutPrint "is damaged and can't be opened", see Troubleshooting.
Sign in with your email and password, or choose Continue with Google to sign in through your default browser. Signing In explains both. Your saved workspaces load as soon as you are signed in.
Make it easy to reach
- Keep it in the Dock. While FutPrint is open, right-click its Dock icon and choose Options, then Keep in Dock.
- Give it a Space. Swipe up with three fingers (or press F3) to open Mission Control, add a desktop with +, and drag FutPrint onto it to keep the terminal on its own screen.
- Use full screen. Click the green button in the window's corner, or press ⌃ ⌘ F.
