Drawing Tools Overview
FutPrint equips traders with a robust range of drawing tools, meticulously designed for precision technical analysis, annotation, and workflow efficiency. Each tool serves a clear analytical purpose, allowing you to mark up your charts, visualize trade setups, and communicate ideas visually.
All drawing tools are organized by category for easy navigation and can be accessed via the Drawing Toolbar on your chart. Below, you’ll find each tool described — keeping the format and tone consistent with our earlier documentation pages.
Line Tools

Horizontal Line
Place a horizontal line at a specific price level.
Usage: Mark support/resistance and key zones.

Vertical Line
Draw a vertical line at a specific time point.
Usage: Highlight events, session boundaries, or news releases.

Trend Line
Draw a line connecting two points to define a trend or price channel.
Usage: Identify trends, breakouts, and support/resistance from diagonal movement.

Ray
Like a trend line but extends infinitely from the starting point in one direction.
Usage: Project trends, future support/resistance.

Path
Create a freeform, multi-point path.
Usage: Annotate custom scenarios, price patterns, or projected moves.

Shape Tools
- Rectangle
Draw a rectangle anywhere on the chart.
Usage: Outline areas of interest such as consolidations, demand/supply zones, or price ranges.

Annotation & Measurement Tools

Place custom text notes on your chart.
Usage: Label chart regions, mark observations, or add reminders.

Measurement
Measure the distance and price difference between two points.
Usage: Quantify movement in price and time directly on the chart.

Visually plan and assess long trade setup, including entry, stop, targets, and risk/reward ratio calculation.

Volume Profile (Fixed Range)
Analyze volume distribution within a selected region of the chart.
Usage: Study how market activity clusters at different price levels for the selected range.

Fibonacci Tools

Create Fibonacci retracement levels between two points.
Usage: Identify probable support and resistance zones during corrections and pullbacks.

Fib Extension
Plot Fibonacci extension levels to forecast potential future price targets.
Usage: Analyze and project extension targets beyond established trends.

Using Drawing Tools
- Access:
Select the drawing tool from the Drawing Toolbar available on the left side of the chart. - Customization:
Once placed, adjust each drawing’s color, style, and position using the contextual menu. - Magnet Mode:
Enable magnet mode to snap the drawing to the nearest price or time point. - Delete All:
Delete all drawings from the chart.
By mastering these drawing tools, traders can annotate, analyze, and communicate insights directly on their FutPrint charts, streamlining both their workflow and technical analysis processes.
Tip: Combine multiple drawing tools for advanced strategies — for example, use trend lines with Fib retracements and long/short position tools to visualize complete trade scenarios.
