What is the Volume Indicator?

The Volume indicator displays traded volume per bar, helping assess participation and confirm price moves.

How the Volume Indicator Works

  • Plots total traded volume for each bar.
  • Optional coloring by up/down bar or buy/sell dominance (if supported).

Interpretation:

  • Rising volume on trend moves suggests strength; falling volume suggests weakening.
  • Spikes at highs/lows can mark exhaustion or climactic moves.

  • Aggregation: Per bar (default)
  • Coloring: Up/down or custom rules
  • Style: Bar/line display, colors, and thickness

Practical Usage and Best Practices

  • Confirm breakouts with increasing volume.
  • Identify potential reversals via volume climaxes.
  • Combine with moving averages and ATR for context.

Limitations:
